Astrology has been a guiding light in my life, helping me understand myself, my connections with other people, and the world around me in ways I never thought possible. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been fascinated by astrology, but I really began to study it in-depth in 2019. As soon as I turned 18, I ran to the tattoo shop and got my first tattoo of the Scorpio symbol on the back of my neck. It was a physical expression of my love for astrology and my own Scorpio energy.

Like many of you, I was once a beginner, looking at a birth chart and feeling completely overwhelmed. But over time, I learned that astrology isn’t just a set of generic meanings that vaguely apply to everyone, but that our birth charts are deeply personal, reflecting the unique energy and patterns that shape who we are.

This book offers insights and guidance to help you deepen your understanding of astrology. While many astrology books focus solely on signs, houses, and planets, this book goes far beyond that. Here, you’ll learn about objects, angles, ruling planets and their influence based on where they are located in the chart, degrees, aspects, orbs of influence, elements, modality, and so much more. I also include an in-depth look at Lana Del Rey’s birth chart where I break down her chart completely using everything covered in the book.

​One of the ways this book takes a different approach is by focusing on the individual meanings of signs, planets, and houses before combining them. For example, instead of jumping straight into what it means to have your Sun in Scorpio, I first explain the traits of Scorpio as a sign and then discuss the role of the Sun in astrology. This way, you can understand both the sign and the planet on their own before exploring how they work together. This method allows for a deeper understanding of how each part of your birth chart contributes to the bigger picture and also allows you to read anyone's birth chart with ease and understanding.

This book uses the Placidus system, one of the most widely used house systems in astrology. In the Placidus system, the houses are not divided equally by degrees (like the whole house system), but rather based on the time it takes for a zodiac sign to rise over the horizon at your place of birth. This system reflects the natural movement of the Earth and results in varying house sizes, which can affect how certain signs and planets fall into different houses. Using this system allows for a more personalized interpretation of the birth chart, giving deeper insights into how planetary placements influence various areas of your life.

By the end of the book, you’ll have the opportunity to apply everything you’ve learned in a DIY birth chart section, where you can fill in your own chart and reflect on how the planets, signs, and houses connect to influence your life.

While my future books will explore favorable placements and aspects for love, money, career, etc., it’s essential to first build a strong understanding of the basics. Only then can you truly unlock the deeper potential of astrology.
